Founded in 1995, the national ACE mentoring program started as a single affiliate in New York. Today, our affiliates continue to offer high school students a chance to discover the many rewards available through a career in architecture, engineering and/or construction.

Volunteer mentors from many of the industry’s top firms assist student teams as they take on challenging construction design assignments similar to the ones professionals work on every day.

In addition, students get hands-on experience using advanced technologies to plan, schedule and estimate their projects. Many also visit construction sites, professional firms, and schools and colleges to learn what makes projects and careers alike succeed.

To cap off the experience, students present their design solutions during special events attended by mentors, families and teachers. ACE affiliates may also award college scholarships, and all are ready to help students find a fulfilling career in the building industry.
