Now is the time to invest in the future by preparing the next generation of professionals who will help grow the building industry and strengthen your business.

The ACE Mentor Program, a not-for-profit organization, helps prepare high school students for careers in design and construction. The fastest-growing mentoring program in the building industry, ACE operates in 36 states and 196 cities across the nation.

About Us

The ACE Mentor Program of Southeast Tennesseee and North Georgia began in 2009 with 3 teams and 55 students.

How ACE Works

Teams of students and mentoring firms are assembled and meet throughout the school year at the firm offices. The students plan and design innovative projects mirroring "real-world" conditions while mentors help them develop solutions using basic problem-solving techniques and state-of-the-art design tools. The teams also tour construction sites and notable buildings to see firsthand what is required to design and erect these kinds of structures.

In addition to acquiring new knowledge and skills, students are eligible for ACE scholarships and gain contacts that can help with college admissions, internships and full-time employment. ACE enhances the mentoring firm profile and the individual mentor's presentation and communication skills as well as preparing the future workforce.

Team Projects

To gather information for their projects, the teams will take field trips to construction sites and buildings.

At the end of the year, special events are held for students and families, as well as mentors, sponsors and the faculty of several area universities. During these events, teams presented their projects using AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, sketches and construction schedules. To conclude the year's program, scholarships will be awarded.
