David Gaboury has been president and CEO of Terracon since 2002. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He joined the firm in 1997 as an executive vice president, then as COO and president. He is a licensed professional engineer with more than 30 years of experience in environmental, geo-environmental and water resources engineering. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. David received a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a graduate of Harvard Business School, Advanced Management Program. Prior to joining Terracon, he was with Woodward Clyde for 15 years, serving as COO and president of Woodward Clyde Consultants for the last five years.
David is Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Olathe Medical Center, Inc. and a trustee of Olathe Medical Services, Inc. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Construction Industry Round Table and the ACE Mentor Program. David also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of two engineering companies - - Smith, Seckman Reid, based in Nashville, TN and RS&H, based in Jacksonville, FL. He participates in the Incident and Injury Free Executive Forum. David is past president of ASFE/The Geoprofessional Business Association (GBA) and a member of GBA’s Council of Fellows. His past service includes a member of ASCE’s Industry Leaders Council; board member of the Olathe, KS Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council; and member of the CEO Conference Group. In 2013, David was selected as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® award winner for the Central Midwest as a National Finalist.
