Student Summer Experiences
We are now accepting applications for summer experiences. Please fill out the google form here to be considered. I will post a brief description of each experience as they become available.
BrightView is the nation’s leading commercial landscape company. The summer experience will include a dive into the full life cycle of BrightView’s services, including landscape architecture, estimating, field operations, project management, sales and business financials. This experience will be in Parker, CO and starts 6/3/2024 for two weeks, 40 hours a week. Students must be 16 years or older and have their own transportation. There is one position available. Students will be participating in projects in the Denver area.
Galloway & Company is an architecture, engineering and survey firm, providing a Full-Spectrum Approach™ to create exceptional project solutions. This experience is for a design intern and will take place in Greenwood Village, CO. The position will be for 4 week, 20 hours a week. They are flexible on the start time. Students can choose up to 3 disciplines to work with during the internship. Students should be Juniors or Seniors and have Revit experience if interested in working with the architecture team. There is one position available.
Hensel Phelps is a leader in general contracting & construction work. They specialize in planning, building, and management of landmark buildings. This experience will be in the Denver area (airport of Littleton) starting after 7/4/2024 for two to four weeks, 80 hours total. Students must be 18 to participate. There are two positions open.
Martin/Martin is a Civil and Structural Engineering firm located in Lakewood, CO. We are seeking an ACE intern who is interested in civil or structural engineering. The intern must be able to work 20 hours/week for 4 weeks during the summer in the Lakewood office. These weeks do not have to be consecutive. There is one position open.
Mortenson Externship. Mortenson’s ACE Externship is more than just a summer job, it’s a comprehensive paid externship experience offering you valuable real word insights. This eight-week program will provide students with exposure to all aspects of the construction business, including estimating, scheduling, jobsite experiences, safety, and virtual design. Upon completion, students will be eligible for a $2,000/year scholarship renewable for four years. Join Mortenson’s team and experience what a career in construction could look like for you. Externship will take place in Mortenson’s Denver office.
RTA Architects creates award-winning architectural and interior designs for the Colorado built environment. This experience will be in Colorado Springs during the June/July timeframe. They would like one student for 2 weeks, 40 hours a week.
Turner Construction is a North America-based, international construction services company and is a leading builder in diverse markets. Experiences are available in Denver-metro area and start on 6/3/2023. They would like the students for 4 weeks, 20 hours a week 6/3-6/28. Prefer students who are 18 but will consider less than 18. There are three positions available.
Other Summer Internships
DPR is offering summer internships in Construction Management. Interns will work on site with project teams to build major commercial construction projects and learn about:
- managing a multi-million-dollar project,
- the innovative technology used for planning, scheduling and design,
- the wide range of professional roles needed to build great teams and buildings.
