Darius Johnson
Northeast Regional Director

Darius comes to ACE Mentor with a background in nonprofit management, communications, fundraising, and data analytics. He began his career as a laborer and finisher for his family business, Johnson’s Concrete, and has worked in various leadership and support roles across affordable housing, land conservation, and workforce development. Prior to ACE, Darius served as Executive Director of Kent Attainable Housing, an affordable housing nonprofit in his hometown, Chestertown, Maryland. Additionally, he served as the Affiliate Director for the ACE Mentor Program of Baltimore in 2017.

Darius has a passion for helping others find their path and develop a great quality of life. He has spent hundreds of hours volunteering in public schools and colleges to advise students on their career development, so naturally, he is deeply connected to ACE Mentor’s mission. He also supports various organizations in community development efforts across Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

Darius resides in Easton, Maryland with his wife and their dog, Izzy. In his spare time, he enjoys bowling, biking, hiking, making comfort food and grilling, and making memories with friends and family. He also loves a good crab feast, so if you ever find yourself on the Eastern Shore, Darius will treat you to some Chesapeake Bay blue crabs!
