Elizabeth (Liz) Lisk
Structural Engineering Specialist, STV
ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY (GNY)
Liz’s commitment to ACE began in high school where she participated in ACE GNY. In 2019, her first year as an engineering professional, she returned to ACE as a mentor. Within a few years, she became the co-team leader of Team 11. She puts in extra time creating session materials, building physical models, and working on CAD files after hours and on the weekends.
Liz is also the elected Communication’s chair on the ACE GNY Mentor Committee, and regularly participates in the affiliate’s Mentor Leadership Program and is also a Mentor-At-Large on the Mentor Committee which works to improve the program and provide mentor’s with recognition, opportunities for the professional development, and collaboration between the more than 50 teams in NYC.
Along with her mentoring with ACE, she is active within STV to hire ACE students as interns, and then supervises them directly. Mentors and students alike describe her as tenacious, committed, friendly and passionate. Her fellow mentors add that “no one loves ACE more than Liz Lisk. She embodies everything we hope for – a student who finds her passion through participating in ACE.”
