The greatest value of ACE for me has been the connections I made that have helped shape my education and provided unexpected career opportunities. My mentors are role models for me and I want to give other young people that same opportunity. I love helping them explore areas of study and career that they never knew about – just like I did.
ACE helped me focus my career objectives and also provided financial assistance. I feel very fortunate to have had great opportunities and wanted to give others the same chances. I signed up to be a mentor with ACE right away.
ACE is how I got my start. Because of ACE, I had a plan before I went to college. I love construction and never thought that I would ever be doing what I do – and wouldn’t have even known the profession excited without ACE. Through ACE, I can help others find similar opportunities.
I truly believe in the ACE Mentor Program; it is the reason I am a structural engineer today. I really enjoy being a mentor, and I hope I can inspire some of the students as my mentors inspired me when I was a participant in the program.
