Paul Bonington is managing director of Digital Prism Advisors, a management consultancy that helps both for-profit and non-profit organizations maximize their business opportunities and competitive position in today’s increasingly disruptive and digital economy. Applying more than 25 years executive-level operating experience and insights, Paul specializes in helping clients discover and execute new growth and go-to-market strategies, leverage cutting-edge digital technologies and processes, and align their sales, product and marketing functions to deliver market-focused and customer-responsive products and services that improve top and bottom line results.
Paul has deep experience building, launching, and transforming information, technology and media business in both Fortune 500 and start-up environments, leading organic growth and M&A strategies that have consistently delivered return to shareholders. Paul’s executive roles include; General manager and VP group publisher at Engineering News-Record and Architectural Record; Chief revenue officer at McGraw-Hill Construction; General manager, VP marketing and publisher of Power and Energy & Business Technology at Platts (S&P Global); Global chief marketing officer for internet services provider, Globix Corporation; Senior vice president strategic planning and publishing for Internet World, Web Week, Internet Shopper, and Web Developer brands (Mecklermedia); and director of national accounts for global technology publisher, IDG (International Data Group).
Paul contributes to the AEC industry by participating on non-profit boards, writing and speaking on trends and technology impacting design and construction, advocating digital transformation, and generally getting involved to help promote positive industry growth and change. Paul is a New York State Regents Scholar, and earned a B.S. degree in both Business-Economics and History from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta, where he was honored as an Alumni of Distinction in 2014.
