ACE Mentor Program of Greater Knoxville Host 2nd Annual Awards Banquet

What an exciting evening for ACE Scholars and their families as they were recognized and celebrated at the 2nd Annual Awards Banquet at the end of the 2023 school year. Attending the celebration were donors, sponsors, mentors, ACE board members, community members and Todd Kelly, Sr. who was the guest speaker.

It was a good evening as scholarships were distributed and awards given to outstanding students. In addition to several board members were recognized for their service. Congratulations to Rick Boyd who was selected as the ACE Exemplary School Champion and Shannon Elliott received Knoxville’s Outstanding Mentor Award.

Kelly is an alumni of the University of Tennessee Knoxville and spoke about mentors who have made a difference in his life as he reminded students to always have a respectful attitude.

TRADES DAY 2023

The 2nd Annual Trades Day was held October 2023 and it was a SUCCESS! With unmatched organizational skills and pristine attention to detail, the Trades Day Committee led by board member Shannon Elliott hosted this years Trades Day Event that was held at Pellissippi State Community College (Strawberry Plains campus).

Students began arriving and were greeted by members of the ACE Board as they received PPE to prepare for visits to the different stations. As the students toured the different stations they were able to view what opportunities await them in different fields that were showcased.

As a recipient of the Stanley Black and Decker Empowering Makers Grant, we are able to host students at events like this.

WE THANK YOU………

Thank you to our event host Pellissippi State Community College and everyone who made this possible. for the PPE provided by Christman Company!
