Katie Chevalier Bawarski, AIA
Director of Student and Alumni Advancement
A registered architect and design educator, Katie Chevalier Bawarski has dedicated her career to helping the next generation thrive. Herself an ACE alumna, Katie has been involved with ACE since 2004 in many different capacities – a student, mentor, and board member. Katie spent the early part of her career designing K-12 schools and other public spaces with a focus on educational psychology, accessibility and sustainability. In 2017, Katie joined the ACE Mentor Program of America as the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Regional Director. In this role, Katie helped strengthen affiliate leadership and programming, led the startup of several new ACE affiliates including ACE’s international expansion into Canada, and spearheaded the creation of ACE’s virtual curriculum and resources.
Leaning on her extensive experience with ACE, Katie took on the brand-new role of Director of Student and Alumni Advancement in early 2022. Katie oversees ACE’s renewed strategic focus on alumni support and engagement and is working on several new initiatives to help ACE alumni succeed in their journey through post-secondary education and into industry employment.
Katie lives in Queensbury, NY with her husband, John, 1-year old son, Cameron (soon to be a big brother!), and dog Dutchess. She enjoys gardening, cooking, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, yoga, and spending time with her family and friends in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains.
