Lisa Ransom

I believe that understanding your environment and presenting yourself in the best light are essential to building strong partnerships and driving successful outcomes. As a workforce development expert, I specialize in creating pathways that connect the next generation of industry professionals to meaningful career opportunities. I’m passionate about cultivating a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve—strengthening industries and preparing them for a more resilient future.

My purpose has always been rooted in service to others. I am a direct product of the guidance and support of mentors who opened doors of opportunity for me, and I remain committed to doing the same for others.

My journey began in the United States Marine Corps, which gave me the foundation to lead with discipline, purpose, and empathy. That experience opened doors to a variety of professional opportunities and helped me develop a deep appreciation for people’s unique lived experiences.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, a great menu, gardening, reading, and volunteering with organizations that serve families facing food insecurity in my community.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, I now reside in Laurel, Maryland.
