Bio

Carter W Moore, AIA, NCARB
Dallas Fort Worth, TX

Carter has been a part of the North Dallas chapter of the Dallas/Fort Worth affiliate since 2015 and soon after began helping plan and coordinate the program activities. Since 2016 he has co-coordinated the chapter’s work and with student feedback, Carter helped develop the chapter’s first progressive project where students can build on activities from the previous weeks, showing how each discipline’s decisions and work affect others. The program quickly grew from the inaugural 30 students to over 50. Carter was instrumental in acquiring a new facility to host the growing program as it hit an astonishing 102 students in the new space. This year Carter worked with staff and leadership from a local community college technical campus to host the program and lead the program’s “trades night”. Hosting the program in the technical campus trades center, Carter can often be found pointing to building elements and college program work as examples of the nights’ discussion. Carter’s work with the students will often extend into their school projects by attending presentations and critiques where he finds ways to provide feedback that is educational and inspiring. Carter’s broad knowledge of the A.C.E. industry is a large part of what makes him such an inspiring mentor.
