First as a student with the Los Angeles affiliate in 2004 and since 2011 as a mentor, Kent has exhibited leadership. As a new mentor, he led his team through a trying transition, even personally funding buses to ensure students did not miss their field trips. Today he leads two teams simultaneously, one of which entered the 2019 national design competition. Kent goes the extra mile with his students and affiliate, helping with affiliate-wide events and fundraising.
